Zeytín Café Mt. Maunganui

Zeytín Café Mt. Maunganui Review

This café (not to be confused with the separately owned Zeytin on the Strand, in Tauranga) is a good bet when in Mount Maunganui. Their Moroccan tagines (lamb and apricot or chicken, date, and almond) are great, as is the haloumi (salty cheese of goat and sheeps milk) and roasted beet salad with toasted walnuts and minted yogurt. The Kurdish baklava with vanilla ice cream will keep you coming back.
