Driving Creek Cafe

Driving Creek Cafe Review

Fresh food, generous portions, and reasonable prices in a rural setting is the draw here. The café captures the essence of the communes that used to thrive on the peninsula, while providing food that appeals to the masses. It is surrounded by fruit trees with outdoor seating in a sculpture garden and on the porch. The vegetarian menu includes breakfasts. Try the scrambled tofu—marinated organic tofu with mustard seeds, cumin, and tumeric. For lunch there's the packed "six inch sammie" and organic potato wedges, plus piles of baked goods, locally roasted coffee, and fresh juices (e.g. liver booster) and smoothies. They also sell a small range of organic goods, local art, and pottery, There's space for the kids to play and Internet (paid).
