Driving Creek Cafe

Driving Creek Cafe Review

Fresh food, generous portions, and reasonable prices in a rural setting is the draw here. The café captures the essence of the communes that used to thrive on the peninsula, while providing food that appeals to the masses. It is surrounded by fruit trees with outdoor seating in a sculpture garden and on the porch. The vegetarian menu includes breakfasts (omlettes, bagels, pancakes, mushrooms and muesli). For lunch there's the packed falafal or haloumi burger or 'smashed egg sandwich', with sprouts and gherkins, tomato and lettuce, plus piles of baked goods, locally roasted coffee, and fresh juices (e.g. liver booster) and smoothies. They also sell a small range of organic goods, local art, and pottery, There's space for the kids to play and free, fast Internet available.
