Tay Street Beach Cafe

Tay Street Beach Cafe Review

The tables out on the patio across the road from the dunes of Maunganui Beach are the place to be when the weather's right; otherwise, head inside to the cool, grey, vinyl bench seats. Tay Street's menu serves a range of dishes, from old favorites like eggs Benedict or fish-and-chips, to swordfish fillet or seafood linguini. They charge city prices for the coffee at $4 a cup, but that hasn't stopped the place from filling up every weekend for the all-day brunch.
