With mariachi music, murals, and colors to rival even Frida Kahlo's house, this Mexican restaurant is a surprising—and welcome—find down an alleyway off the main drag of Maunganui Road. It serves typical Mexican food, from chilequiles (a tortilla, mole, and meat dish) to tacos to fajitas, washed down with a glass of cold horchata (a milky beverage of rice and flavors like cinnamon) or, of course, a margarita.
