Brenton Lodge Review

Looking out over Whangamata and the islands in its harbor from your hillside suite, you'll feel rested and pampered, especially after being greeted with fresh flowers, fruit, and handmade chocolates. (Your host Sallie is a leading chocolatier, her 'House of Hamilton' liquor choclates have been supplied to airlines for their premium class passengers, and she also holds regular weekend choclate making courses.) The lodge suites are spacious, open plan with lounge and bedroom, ensuites and great ocean views. Stroll around the beautiful garden, take a dip in the pool or the hot tub, or relax on the decks or inside by the fire. Breakfasts are inclusive and if you don't feel like a journey to town at night (this is not a place you'll want to leave), dinner can be pre-arranged (three divine courses, $75). You can dine with other guests, or arrange a secluded spot in one of the lounges or on your own private deck. Just discuss with your hosts.
