The standout restaurant in town is also a regular award winner—national beef-and-lamb awards and Monteiths Wild Food Challenge finalist, for example. Coromandel seafood is showcased (think Mussel Pots and Indulge Yourself'platters of mussels, oysters, scallops, and tempura fish). New Zealand lamb and Hereford beef is also there and the Pork Spare Ribs are legendary. Breakfasts (Hot Cake Stack anyone?) and all day light meals are also served. Lunch easily segues into dinner in the sheltered courtyard or in front of the fire, depending on the season. Open daily 10 am to 9 pm.
