Fodor's Review

In the center of Hahei and 100 meters down the street from the beach, this lodge comprises a number of low-lying wooden buildings in hidden, park-like surroundings. There's a good range of accommodation, from a stand alone two bedroom cottage to two bedroom self-catering units to studios and dorms (there's a wide price range, too). Each self-catering unit has its own outdoor area BBQ. All accommodations are regularly upgraded and local art decorates the walls. The purpose-built

Backpacker Lodge (call it 'flashpacker') is appealing, with a large modern kitchen, two spacious lounges, landscaped outdoor BBQ area and a choice of shared dorm or private room with shared bathrooms. The entire property is hidden away behind trees yet close to the local store and cafes. Free bikes, beach gear (boogie boards, umbrellas, deckchairs and beach towels) and fresh herbs from the garden are available for guests.
