Governors Bay Hotel

Governors Bay Hotel Review

First granted a license in 1870, this historic old pub makes a great casual lunch or dinner stop if you're doing a round trip from Christchurch through Lyttelton and back. Perched on a hill with fabulous views overlooking Lyttelton Harbour, it offers solid gastro-pub fare. There's a large sunny deck in summer and an open fire in winter. And you may stay the night in one of its recently renovated rooms; some have balconies overlooking the harbour, but none has ensuite bathrooms.
