Some say the lamb served here is the best in New Zealand -- cooked rare, with an intriguing juniper-berry sauce. The filet mignon, venison medallions, and chicken Parmesan, though, are also favorites. Though it's about a 10-minute drive from the city center, lots of locals make the trip, especially on the weekends, when pancake stacks and lamb wraps are dished up for brunch. Reservations are recommended.
