Fodor's Review:
Designed in the 1920s by Christchurch architect Heathcote Helmore, this elegantly renovated farmhouse offers peaceful, secluded accommodation 18 km (11 mi) from Geraldine. The large front lawn doubles as a helipad -- the summerhouse light guides helicopters in. Because the home's surrounded by old roses, rhododendrons, English beeches, limes, and oaks, you might feel you're somewhere in New England -- that is, until you hear the trill of a native bellbird. The last mile into Four Peaks is on gravel.
