Eastern Bays Scenic Mail Run

Fodor's Review:

For a quirky way of seeing nearly a dozen hideaway bays, sign up to ride with the mailman while he delivers the rural mail on the Eastern Bays Mail Run. The trip starts from Akaroa at 9 AM and finishes its circuit around 1:30. In summer the van stops for morning tea by the beach. Reservations are essential, and it's not a suitable trip for young children.
