Fodor's Review:
With its regionally structured menu, the Raj Mahal invites you on a virtual gastronomic tour of India; you can try tandoori from the Punjab, fish masala from Goa, or a vegetarian curry that's mild, medium, or strong according to your preference. The restaurant uses contemporary as well as traditional Indian methods, so there's no pork, no beef, and no fusion cooking. Of the dozens of Indian restaurants in Christchurch, this is the best for its quality, its sheer variety of dishes, and its uncluttered decor.
