$$$-$$$$, Eclectic, Christchurch
Fodor's Review:
As the name suggests, wine is the raison d'être for this long-established Christchurch vinotheque, but it's also being sought out for its truffles in season, from Gisborne and north Canterbury. Truffles are fairly new to New Zealand restaurants, and here you can indulge in a special menu that uses the famous fungi in nearly every dish. The short daily menu could include rack of lamb, fettuccine with pesto, or antipasto, according to season. The restaurant draws an older crowd who appreciate the extensive wine list that includes around 300 choices, both local and imported.
