Don't miss the breakfasts at this light and airy restaurant in the George Hotel, where you can look out at early morning joggers in Hagley Park. Start with the likes of grouper-and-potato hash cakes or spicy petite doughnuts and blueberry compote. Move on to chive waffles with roasted tomatoes and smoked bacon or French-toast-style brioche with vanilla and maple-glazed bananas. Later in the day you can choose from dishes such as tenderloin of Canterbury lamb, roasted pork roulade, or grilled poussin with a tropical fruit salsa and red curry sauce.
