Bridge of Remembrance

Bridge of Remembrance Review

Arching over Cashel Street, this Oamaru, limestone, memorial arch was built in memory of the soldiers who crossed the river here from King Edward Barracks on their way to the battlefields of Europe during World War I. It is currently on the edge of the cordon but should be open by early 2012.
