Fodor's Review:
This grand Edwardian house overlooking the Avon is one of the finest historic B&Bs in Christchurch. Native timber is used throughout the house, such as the solid kauri stairs and doors. All rooms are upstairs, and the three front rooms provide great views of the river. In an adjacent two-story Edwardian town house are two sunny, spacious suites, each with a lounge and kitchen. The lower-floor suite has one bedroom and French doors that open out to a secluded garden.
