Fodor's Review

Its email address is, and certainly staying in an historic jail has a novelty factor, but this offers much more than that. Built in 1874, it's been thoughtfully renovated and is almost monastery-like inside, with high arch windows and whitewashed walls. As you'd expect, there are bars on the windows and heavy doors, but the rooms (which range from singles to dormitories) have a surprisingly light, modern feel. With 2-feet-thick concrete walls you certainly

can't hear what your neighbors are up to, though as people can converge in the hallways the noise can spill in a bit. A couple of the cells have been left in their original state and are an eye-opener.
