The Post Shop on Wellesley Street West is the only post office with poste restante (general delivery) services. It's open weekdays from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Auckland has offices of all the major courier companies. New Zealand Post's courier service, Courier Post (at the Auckland Mail Service Centre), covers the country and links with international services.

Central Auckland is littered with Internet cafés; these vary widely in price and facilities. Net Central Cybercafé is open 24 hours daily and has coffee and snacks; it charges $2 per hour. At the Central City Library you can get online after buying an Internet card ($1); you're then charged $1 per half hour.
