Sky City Grand Hotel Review
The specially commissioned works of top New Zealand artists hanging in the soaring lobby of Auckland's latest major hotel are testimony to the attention to design throughout—even the staff uniforms were designed by local fashion leaders. Rooms are decked in light contemporary hues, with red bed throws and iconic New Zealand prints by late photographer Robin Morrison. On the top floor, the Grand Suite is the size of four standard rooms, with a butler's pantry. The excellent main restaurant, Dine, is run by acclaimed Kiwi chef Peter Gordon.
