Fodor's Review:
The cooking in this landmark hotel overlooking the pier is enough to lure citysiders, who are notoriously reluctant to visit the shore. But they can see the city from the conservatorylike dining room before tucking into contemporary dishes with a Mediterranean spin, such as baked chicken stuffed with chervil and ricotta. The Esplanade also has elegant rooms upstairs, befitting its Edwardian heritage.
