This restaurant looks like it stepped out of the pages of a 1990s design magazine. Vast windows mark the boundary between the harbor and the alabaster decor. Fittingly, New Zealand seafood dominates, with dishes such as scampi and salmon tortellini served with arugula and caper-butter sauce or hapuka (grouper) in a crust of hazelnut and horopito (an indigenous pepper) served with baby turnips and pearl onions. If you come for lunch, bring your sunglasses because the light that bounces off the walls from the water can shock the eyes.

The only saving grace for this restaurant is its stunning views of the harbor.
