$$$$, Continental, Oneroa
Fodor's Review:
Mudbrick's a good place to try wines that never make it to the mainland. The vineyard produces a small portfolio of whites and reds of its own and serves them and those of other tiny producers, all paired with the menu. Because bordeaux varieties predominate on the island, the food emphasis is on red meat; particular favorites are the rack of lamb and Black Angus eye fillet. The front terrace is the best spot to take in the harbor views. Unlike many places on Waiheke, Mudbrick is open for lunch and dinner daily, year-round.
