The main bureau of Auckland's visitor center is open 8 to 8 daily. The branch in the airport opens daily at 5 AM and stays open until the last flight arrives. The branch at the Viaduct Harbour is open 9 to 5 daily. The Devonport visitor center is open weekdays 8 to 5, and 8:30 to 5 on weekends.
The Thursday Auckland Tourist Times is a free newspaper with the latest information on tours, exhibitions, and shopping. The paper is available from hotels and from visitor centers.
For information on the Hauraki Gulf islands, marine reserves, and other conservation areas, check in with the Department of Conservation Visitor Centre, open on weekdays from 9:30 to 5.
