3 Best Shopping in Viti Levu, Fiji

Jack's of Fiji

This successful retail chain has locations throughout the mainland including those at numerous resorts. In addition to high-end traditional handicrafts and other souvenirs, it sells perfume, jewelry, watches, clothing, and other duty free–style goods.

Nadi Handicraft Market

Competition is fierce at this craft market, where locals fill their stalls with all manner of wood-carvings, jewelry, and other souvenirs produced by members of their villages (or so they claim) and local Indo-Fijians peddle a similar range of goods. Bargain here and you can likely bring prices down by half, if not more.

Port Denarau Retail and Commercial Centre

An open-air mall of sorts, Port Denarau has all manner of retail and dining options. Retailers include a Marina General Store specializing in clothing and accessories and a Jack's of Fiji outlet. The well-stocked Xpress Mart is among the more reasonable places to buy groceries on Denarau and the Hot Bread Kitchen, part of a nationwide chain, is a good place to pick up a hot pastry before the early ferry; the Esquire coffee shop is next door. Cardo's steak house, the Indigo fine-dining restaurant, and Hard Rock Cafe are also here. The complex includes the departure point for all Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands boat transfers and is accessible by the free "Bula Bus" shuttle from all Denarau Island resorts. Many tour and travel companies have physical kiosks here, too, so it's a great place to grab a handful of brochures to check out the available activities.
