The Fiji Orchid Review

Formerly the prized vacation home of Hollywood star Raymond Burr, this lush property, just 15 minutes from Nadi International Airport, serves as a cozy stopover for those travelers en route to further islands. With only six tent-like bures dotted throughout five verdant acres, the attentive staff discreetly ensures that you're well fed and well rested before onward travel. Celebrities often retreat to The Fiji Orchid on the way to more exclusive private resorts, though the vibe here is more under-the-radar exclusive rather than hip or pretentious. Each modern bure has floor-to-ceiling windows all around, practically bringing the orchids and greenery inside. King-sized beds, comfy sitting areas, spacious verandahs, and glass-enclosed showers are complemented by dark wood floors and interior accents, offering a private, peaceful retreat to recover from jet lag. Fresh, locally inspired meals are served at your leisure in the main house, in your room, or by the garden pool. There are bright, fresh flowers everywhere-garnishing tropical drinks, adorning the foot of the bed, or beckoning you down a quiet path.
