Traps Bar Review

A colonial-style front room is just the start of the cavernous five-room Traps Bar. Locals and a younger tourist crowd mingle and dance to rap and R&B. One room has a projection TV and pool table, another has a dance floor and a stage for the acoustic band playing old-school on Thursday and sometimes Tuesday nights. Upstairs, older patrons hang out in the better-lighted, low-key lounge. It starts getting crowded around 11.

    Traps in 2009

    My first trip to traps was in mid 90’s and with ease was a very comfortable and sophisticated place to hang out on your Thursday ‘s to Saturday’s. My recent visit to Fiji witnessed traps develop into 5 bars within one, two of course non-smoking. There is a lot of difference and feel to the place since my visit in the 90’s. I hear a lot has to with the new management in place. I hear in particular a lady manageress. Anyways Traps in Suva is one of the most superb places to visit should you look for nightlife in Suva, Fiji.
