For a naturalistic bathing experience north of town, you can take a dip in these underdeveloped thermal bathing and mud pools in the lush Sabeto River Valley. They're best enjoyed as the air cools later in the day. There are basic changing and shower facilities. Those looking for a Canyon Ranch substitute will be disappointed.

The Sabeto Village people were most gracious on our first visit and even offered to direct us personally to another entrance which would afford better handicapped access for Kathleen. They helped Kathleen into the mud bath which we both thoroughly enjoyed and then helped her out and into the hot water bath to relax. They showed us the very hot pool which was the souce water for the other clear pools. This one was so hot you would not want to
submerge into it. They keep the grounds very clean and offer a fresh water shower after use of the mud bath and clear warm and hot water pools. Even the children are helpfull to visitors. Great experience. Keith and Kathleen Werner
