Rivers Fiji. Rivers Fiji offers three fantastic day trips. The minimum age for all trips is 8 and children 8–11 are half-price (one per adult). The Luva trip includes a traditional kava ceremony, kayaking through Class II rapids, hiking, and a boat ride through Navua Canyon. begins with a bus ride into the lush Namosi Valley where you visit a village and experience a traditional kava ceremony in the chief's home. You then walk to the Wainikoriiluva River and, after a short lesson, take a personal inflatable kayak through Class II rapids and rock mazes, followed by a picnic lunch. A light hike then brings you to a waterfall and a chance to swim. The trip concludes with a scenic motorized boat ride through the rain forest and waterfalls of Navua Canyon. It departs from the Rivers Fiji office in Pacific Harbour at 8 am and returns guests to their hotels between 5:30 and 7:30. Snacks are provided but do have a substantial breakfast. It costs US$165 and runs Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. The upper Navua rafting trip takes you through the magnificent "Grand Canyon of Fiji," famed for its many waterfalls and 130-foot (40 meters) high black volcanic rock walls. Included are morning and afternoon snacks and a picnic lunch. It departs the Rivers Fiji office at 6:45 am, returns between 5 and 6. The more popular of the two trips, it costs US$210 and runs Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The Deuba Coastal sea-kayaking trip takes you on two-person, sit-on-top sea kayaks down the lower Navua River, through mangrove forests, and along the Pacific Harbour coastline. It includes a picnic lunch on a beach and snorkeling. Timing is subject to the tides and the cost is US$75. There are also multiday tours incorporating elements of the above trips that involve camping. The company will arrange round-trip hotel transfers for US$40–$60 depending on location, with pickups as early as 5 am. Discover Fiji. Day tours with Discover Fiji combine elements, including canoeing up the Navua River, visiting the river's largest waterfall, riding a bamboo bilibili (native raft), and taking a village tour complete with a traditional yaqona (or "kava") ceremony. Discover Fiji's overnight tours vary in length from one to six nights and include village stays and camping. Prices range from US$82 to US$90, depending on where you're picked up. Day tours with 7–7:15 am pickup from Nadi are US$90; from Coral Coast with 8:30–9 am pickup are US$85; from Pacific Harbour with 10–10:15 am pickup are US$82; from Suva with 9–9:15 am pickup are US$85. Returns are between 5 and 6:30. Its Namosi Highland trips begin with an up to two-hour rugged and scenic 4WD ride and include an equally scenic motorized long boat journey. Namosi 1 includes a 1½-hour-long trek, a motorized long boat ride, and a swim at the waterfalls. Namosi 2 takes you through more than 30 Grade 3 rapids on a large inflatable raft down to the waterfall. Namosi 3 goes through calmer, Grade 2 rapids to the waterfall. Namosi 1 runs daily, Namosi 2 and 3 Monday–Saturday. Tours range US$113–$127 depending on where you're picked up. Serua Interior Adventures are the most physical of the day tours.
