The yachtie hangout during boating season, the 20-year-old Savusavu Yacht Club in the Copra Shed on the marina has an old-school feel. The open-air bar and deck overlook the moorings. Entertainment includes a "Chicken Draw," in which patrons buy raffle tickets to win roast birds, and a Joker Draw for the accumulated pot of money. Happy hour is announced by the ringing of a bell with a seaman's rope. Sailing trophies and the names of board members immortalized on wooden plaques look down on a mixed crowd of locals and visitors as they knock back Fiji Bitter and Corona and, if they're not sailing the next day, maybe even shots.
