The vast majority of people heading for the Yasawas do so aboard Awesome Adventures' large yellow luxury catamaran. Prices range $90-$110 each way from Denarau off Viti Levu to the various islands. Add $20-$35 for a seat in the Captains Lounge including unlimited beer, wine, and soda. A "Bula Pass" grants one round-trip ferry transfer to the Yasawas and unlimited trips between the islands over the allotted number of days. However, the ferry only makes one round-trip out to the islands per day. A 7-day pass is $269 and a 21-day is $419. Trips booked in advance include coach transfers from some Nadi hotels.
Guests of Plantation Island, Lomani, and Musket Cove as well as day-trippers can take the luxury catamaran Malolo Cat to the island Malolo Lailai. Adult fares are $55 round-trip, including transfers from Nadi Airport or area hotels.
Anyone heading to the Mamanucas will more than likely board one of South Seas Cruises' two large luxury catamarans. The staff on-board handle passengers' luggage, and one catamaran has TVs showing movies. South Seas runs seven routes daily through the island group, and most resorts advise guests as to which to take and the pricing. For $20 extra, the Captains Lounge has more comfortable seating and unlimited beer, wine, and soft drinks.
