One of the appellation’s grande dames, with its whitewashed buildings and expansive, manicured gardens—featuring more than 1,000 roses—has opened a new Wine Room to deliver quaffing experience with a difference. While swilling their repertoire of wines, you'll also learn about the wine-making process in intimate surroundings. Opt for a seated tasting with tutelage from Voyager’s team (A$10–$30), or download their iPad App free from iTunes for a tour at your own pace. The tasting counter will take care of anyone looking for a more casual experience, with four wine tasters complimentary. The large restaurant with antique wooden furniture, brass chandeliers, and soaring cathedral ceilings is highly regarded. Dishes are inspired by the wine, naturally, and celebrate local, seasonal ingredients such as green asparagus, snow-white marron meat, ocean-fresh fish and Margaret River reared venison. High tea is also served starting at 3 pm daily. Book an estate tour in the safari-style bus with a private wine tasting (A$35), with lunch (A$75) or add on a six-course, wine-matched menu for $175 total. Tours run Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
