Echuca is a three-hour drive from Melbourne, reached most directly by the Northern Highway (Highway 75). The V/Line train and bus combination takes three hours and 20 minutes from Melbourne's Southern Cross Station to Echuca, via Bendigo. At Bendigo station, a bus connects for the onward bus journey.
