Alpine National Park is popular year-round, attracting campers and hikers in the warm months and skiers in the winter time. The High Country, as the region is commonly called, has gorgeous alpine scenery—mountain peaks, waterfalls, grassy plains, and summer wildflowers—and plenty of outdoor activities, from walking, cycling, and fishing to horse riding, canoeing, and cross-country skiing.
