Hiking

The Mornington Peninsula is a memorable walking destination. There are walks for all levels of fitness and interest, from cliff-top strolls to the ultimate 26-km (16-mile) Two Bays Walking Track. Stop in at the visitor information center at Dromana or Mornington to see what walking maps they have on hand, or contact Parks Victoria, the government body that manages the state’s national parks.

Arthurs Seat State Park: There is a one-hour circuit walk to Kings Falls, and the relaxing Seawinds Gardens walk is less than a mile in length and takes only about half an hour.

Bushrangers Bay Walk: An exhilarating 6-km (4-mile) return walk along Western Port Bay begins at Cape Schanck Lighthouse and winds past basalt cliffs and Bushranger Bay, to finish at Main Creek.

Coppin's Track: A pleasant 3-km (2-mile) round-trip walk that stretches from Sorrento ocean beach (or Back Beach as it's known) to Jubilee Point along the Bass Strait coastline.

Two Bays Walking Track: A hardcore 26-km (16-mile) walking track that links Dromana, on Port Phillip Bay, with Cape Schanck on Western Port Bay.
