Considered one of the city's best gastropubs, the husband and wife team of Michelle and Harry Lilai offer a refined taste of Italy within a friendly and casual setting. In the bistro area you'll find seasonal produce layered with Italian touches. Seared beef carpaccio with truffled beef tartare and reggiano shavings is a good starter, followed by roasted pheasant breast with cabbage and leg sausage in vermouth and raisin jus. A casual bar area offers more standard pub fare but follows the same high standards in the kitchen. A great value lunch menu (two courses with wine, A$35) is also available; be sure to take a look at their selection of local craft beer.
