More like a hip beach house than a youth hostel, this friendly two-story lodge has earned its name with a low-impact architectural design, solar hot water, and recycling systems. There are dorm rooms as well as single, twin, double, and family rooms, many with balconies with great bay views. Public areas—two lounges with quiet reading nooks, a separate TV room, and an Internet room—have comfy sofas and beanbags. There's plenty of room to create culinary feasts in the two shared kitchens. The hostel is part of the YHA chain and offers discounts for members.
