Clairault Wines Review
One of the few family-owned wineries in the region is also one of the region's best, known for its award-winning Cabernet Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay. Set in a natural bushland about 18 km (11 mi) south of Dunsborough, the cellar door is in a modern style with polished timber floors, natural stone, and walls of glass overlooking the bushland. The spacious restaurant (open Thurs.-Mon., noon-3:30) has glass doors that open on to a large timber deck in warm weather, while two huge stone fireplaces warm the tables in winter. The winery and restaurant are popular for weddings, especially during the spring and fall months.
