Eco Beach

Eco Beach Review

This wilderness retreat peers over a cliff edge and gazes into the ocean, giving the impression it's incredibly remote while only being about an hour and a half drive—or a shorter helicopter flight—away. Luxury villas and more modest safari tents dot the red dirt landscape, connected by environmentally friendly boardwalk and edged with herb and vegetable gardens the on-site chef uses in his seasonal dishes. An infinity pool overlooking the bay where, at certain times of the year, whales frolic, completes the picture. Yoga classes, fishing trips, kayak safaris and whale watching are all offered. Arrive via helicopter for A$270 per person, private transfer for A$300 or shuttle bus, A$45.
