The Richardson Hotel and Spa Review

Tucked away in a quiet, tree-lined street in West Perth, The Richardson offers a discrete and indulgent stay without forgoing any of the amenities of the bigger downtown hotels—it's no surprise that this is where visiting celebrities stay. Understated elegance means muted tones of gold, burnt sienna and brown, with a splash of red in the large rooms and suites. All rooms and suites have private balconies, so you can step outside for some fresh air, though the views of surrounding West Perth aren't great. For a small hotel, the gym is surprisingly spacious and well-equipped, while the indoor lap pool is heated to a comfortable 28°C. The spa offers five candle-lit treatment rooms while the pricy, elegant Opus Restaurant ($$$) wins praise from locals and visitors alice.
