AQWA: Aquarium of Western Australia

AQWA: Aquarium of Western Australia Review

Huge aquariums filled with some 400 different species of local sea creatures from along the 12,000 km of Western Australia's coastline are the fascinating draws of this boutique aquarium north of Perth. Sharks, stingrays, turtles, and thousands of fish swim overhead as you take the moving walkway beneath a clear acrylic tunnel. You can even snorkel or scuba dive with the sharks at 1 pm and 3 pm daily. The newest exhibit is the coral reef—one of the largest living coral reef displays in the world. Check it out from above and then below in the underwater gallery. Other highlights include the rare seadragons and DANGERzone, featuring a deadly line up of sea creatures.
