Fodor's Review

Situated in the southeast of Tasmania in Frederick Henry Bay, this is a lovely beach well-regarded by surfers—almost 3 km (2 miles) in length and offers easy access from Carlton Beach Road. A 50-foot-high dune backs the beach, and residential properties line the beach road behind it. You'll find plenty of walking trails, and the Carlton Park Surf Life Saving Club lies at the eastern end, with lifeguards on duty in summer. Amenities: lifeguards, parking (free),

showers, toilets. Best for: walking, surfing, swimming.
