Freycinet Lodge

Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay Rd., Coles Bay, Tasmania, 7215, Australia

With cabin-style accommodation scattered through the densely wooded forest overlooking Great Oyster Bay, this cushy eco-lodge has a remote setting that allows for an intimate connection with the surrounding scenic environment. The cabins range from relatively simple one-bedroom units to "Premier Wineglass cabins," which have double hot tubs, CD players, and fluffy bathrobes. All have private balconies and are outfitted with Tasmanian wood furnishings. The on-site Bay Restaurant ($$$) has breathtaking sunset views, as well as an extensive wine list; the more casual Richardson's Bistro is the place for light lunches and coffee, while Hazards Bar and Lounge is a relaxing place to swap stories or curl up with a book by the open fire.
