Fodor's Review:
It's hidden behind huge black doors in one of the city's historic sandstone buildings, but once you're inside you'd swear you were in Paris. Dark wood paneling, black-and-white photographs, and mirrors bearing the day's specials in flowing script lend a bistro feel. The fare is a little French, a little more Italian, and a fair sprinkling of Mod-Oz. Owners Angela and Michael Potts, who have run cafés for years, love their truffles; you'll find them mixed with the duck liver pâté and swirled with the potato mash that accompanies the barramundi fillets. The Italian ice cream or the chocolate and almond tart are a lovely way to round off a meal. A pre- or post meal drink in the marble-lined, chandelier-adorned Bambini Wine Room is a must.
