Chef Guillaume Brahimi rattles the pans at possibly the most superbly situated dining room in town. Tucked into the side of the Opera House, the restaurant affords views of Sydney Harbour Bridge and the city lights. Brahimi's creations soar: try the fresh ink papardelle with seared Queensland scallops, roasted Moreton Bay bug, and blue swimmer crab meat in a tomato-and-coriander broth, or the Kangaroo Island chicken on Chinese cabbage with ravioli of duck foie gras and a veal jus. Better yet, work your way through the nine-course degustation menu ($A80).
