Hotel Inter-Continental Sydney

Fodor's Review:

This sleek, sophisticated hotel rises from the sandstone facade of the historic Treasury Building. It's also near the harbor and within easy walking distance of Circular Quay, the Opera House, and the central business district. North-facing rooms overlook Harbour Bridge, while those on the eastern side of the hotel overlook the Royal Botanic Gardens. Rooms have window seats for taking in the views, as well as remote-controlled blinds to tune out the bright Sydney sunshine. The decor features brown-and-white suede—including funky checkered, padded headboards on the beds. Four executive floors have separate check-in, complimentary breakfast and cocktails, meeting rooms, and access to the wonderful views of the rooftop lounge on the 32nd floor. The Mediterranean-inspired Mint restaurant and bar downstairs are major hot spots.
