Fodor's Review:

Every morning, redcoats would march to this 1840 Argyle Place church from Dawes Point Battery (now Dawes Point Park), and it became commonly known as the Garrison Church. As the regimental plaques and colors around the walls testify, the church still retains a close military association. The tattered ensign on the left wall was carried into battle by Australian troops during the Boer War, in which many Australians enlisted to help Great Britain in its war with South Africans of Dutch ancestry.
