Lessons are available for all ages, and you can rent or buy boards and wet suits. The basic three-class package of two-hour Surf Easy lessons costs A$155. Manly Surf School (North Steyne Surf Club, Manly Beach, Manly. 02/9977-6977. www.manlysurfschool.com) conducts courses for adults and children, and provides all equipment, including wet suits. Adults can join a two-hour group lesson (four per day) for A$50. Private instruction costs A$80 per hour. Rip Curl (82 Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach. 02/9130-2660) has a huge variety of boards and surfing supplies. It's conveniently close to Bondi Beach.
