Fodor's Review

Australia's oldest family-owned winery, Yalumba sits within a hugely impressive compound resembling an Italian monastery. The cellar door is decorated with mission-style furniture, antique wine-making materials, and mementos of the Hill Smith family, who first planted vines in the Barossa in 1849. The Octavius Shirazes are superb, and the "Y Series" Viognier is thoroughly enjoyable.
