Contemporary Italian furnishings in white, slate-gray, and ocher are juxtaposed with 19th-century Adelaide architecture in this stylish Victoria Square hotel. Cast-iron columns, archways, and barrel-vaulted ceilings—original features of the former Treasury building—add texture to clean lines in the studio rooms and serviced apartments. The lobby lounge incorporates an 1839 sandstone wall, one of the oldest remaining colonial structures in South Australia. Great food is as close as the adjoining Treasury Restaurant.
