Clipsal 500. For wheel-to-wheel racing the Clipsal 500, also known as the Adelaide 500, is an acclaimed annual motor racing event for V8 Supercars, held on the streets of east end Adelaide. The track is a shortened version of the former Australian Grand Prix circuit. Serving as the opening round of the V8 Supercars Series, the event is held in early March and routinely attracts more than 200,000 spectators for four days of racing and concerts.
